Roger Waters tickets on sale as from Monday

Roger Waters, co-founder and principal songwriter of the archetypal progressive rock band Pink Floyd, will perform his magnum opus, ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon,’ in its entirety, during his upcoming Malta concert at Luxol Carpark (ex-Parade Ground) on July 10 2006.

Set One will be a newly-shaped version of Waters' highly-successful ‘In The Flesh’ repertoire providing a comprehensive overview of Waters' music including early Pink Floyd material; classic compositions from the masterpiece ‘The Wall’; beloved pieces from ‘Animals,’ ‘Wish You Were Here,’ and ‘The Final Cut’; and songs from Waters' solo tours de force: ‘Amused To Death’ and ‘The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking.’

Set Two will consist of Roger Waters and full band performing 'The Dark Side Of The Moon,' one of the defining works of rock music history, from start-to-finish.

The Roger Waters concerts will utilize elaborate large-scale video projections, theatrical staging, and a dazzling array of special effects to underscore and accentuate the power of the music which is delivered via a state-of-the-art 360° quadraphonic sound system immersing the audience in a 3-dimensional hyperworld.

Tickets are to go on sale as of Monday June 5. There will be four types of tickets. The first rows will consist of a VIP section and will cost Lm 90. The Golden Circle will cost Lm 50 while there will be Front Section Standing (Lm 35) tickets and General Standing tickets (Lm18). There will be a special discount on General Standing tickets for the Roger Waters concert available to all those who attend the Sting concert on June 6 2006.
