MaltaMedia is covering the World Cup from a Maltese perspective. Throughout the four-week football festival MaltaMedia is providing the fixtures, latest scores, news from a Maltese perspective, personal blogs from MaltaMedia OnLine Network team members and other content.

The 2006 FIFA World Cup which starts on the 9th of June and will be held in Germany, promises to be another exciting and breath-taking edition for Maltese and Gozitans alike.

Two personal blogs by MaltaMedia contributors are already available. Award-winning journalist Pierre J. Mejlak has a very personal story to tell linked to the 'Calciopoli' scandal in Italy, where top Italian football executives are being charged of match-fixing together with referees and players.

MaltaMedia's Editor Martin Debattista has interviewed Antoine Busuttil, editor of www.maltafootball.com, on the role of technology in today's game. The interview is published in his blog.

The MaltaMedia World Cup feature can be accessed here.
