Tre Re - Notte Magica , to be held on Friday 6th January will see the unfolding of both local and foreign talent on seven different stages spread around Malta’s capital city, Valletta.
Announcing the programme on Wednesday, Minister for Tourism and Culture Francis Zammit Dimech said that the main stage will be placed in Freedom Square, while other stages will be set up on the Royal Opera Theatre ruins site, the Main Guard, the Great Siege Square, Merchants’ Street, the Chamber of Commerce premises, St. John’s Square as well as the courtyard of Auberge d’Italie.
Street performers and bands are expected to liven up the capital city’s entrance.
Arrangements are underway to set up lighting displays at the City Gate and Auberge d’Italie.
The activity is being organised to breathe fresh air into the Tre Re feast, extend Christmas celebrations and contribute towards a livelier environment in the capital city during the night.
The Minister noted how, as proven the case of Notte Bianca, this event could attract tourists besides Maltese residents.
