President, PM receive members of the public

On the occasion of New Year’s Day, the President of Malta and Mrs. Fenech Adami exchanged greetings with members of the general public at The Palace, Valletta on Monday.

Amongst those greeting the President were Malta Labour Party (MLP) and Alternattiva Demokratika (AD) officials.

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Mrs Kate Gonzi also exchanged New year greetings with members of the public at the Auberge de Castille.

While at the Auberge de Castille, visitors could also visit the Cabinet Room and the Office of the Prime Minister, which were open to the public for the occasion.

The Auberge de Castille also opened between 1600 CET and 1800 CET on New Year's Day for callers to sign the Prime Minister's Visitors' Book.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Archbishop Mons Joseph Mercieca, Archbishop-elect Mons Paul Cremona and Mons Annetto Depasquale met members of the general public at the Archbishop’s Palace in Valletta.
