The international Circo Bellucci has decided to extend its visit in Malta until 21st due to “heavy public demand for the shows”, said a spokesman for the circus.
Originally the Circo Bellucci planned its last show on 7th January. In December a coalition of Non-Governmental Organizations and groups protested against the circus, stating that the aim was to show opposition to cruelty against animals in circuses.
Circo Bellucci will hold one extra show will be held at 1700CET on 9th, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th and 18th January, and two shows at 1700CET and 1930CET will be held on on 19th, 20th and 21st January. The circus will travel to Gozo to give shows between 25th and 28th January.
The discount vouchers obtainable from Vodafone and Coca Cola have also been extended till January 21. Tickets can be bought from the circus grounds.
