A statement issued by the government stated that no candidate has been chosen to fill the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Tourism Authority. The statement was issued in the light of media reports stating on Wednesday that a candidate had been selected.
The statement added that the process for the selection of the CEO is being carried out according to established practices and laws concerning public appointments.
The government said that it is in the tourism industry’s interest to select the most appropriate candidate.
