30,000 tickets bought on Ryanair's Malta routes

In its third day of operations, Ryanair announced that 30,000 passengers have already bought tickets on the airlines’ three routes to and from Malta.

According to PBS, during a short visit to Malta, Ryanair Chief Executive Officer Michael O’Leary, said that the company wishes to keep on building up on this success and added that the airline has proposed to start operating a further four routes.

The Chief Executive Officer also called on the government to reduce departure charges for Maltese travelers and the Malta International Airport to lower its tariffs.

Ryanair flies a daily service to and from Luton, London, England and a three times weekly service to and from Pisa, Italy. Both services started on Tuesday. In turn, a three times weekly service to and from Dublin, Ireland will kick off on the 9th February 2007.
